Getting around to this!

It's hard to find the time and then when you do find the time i forget. Some would say i am getting old..... Another month and a half has gone by just like that. We are excited that our garage is finally all locked up and pretty much complete on the outside, Other than the painting which will be my summer project. Rob is like a kid in a candy store, planning big things for the inside! Emma loves riding her little battery operated ATV on the smooth cement floor and running around kicking a ball.
We have finally had some nice sunny days so its been great to get outside more and enjoy it. Daniel enjoys watching his big sister and laughing at her while taking in some fresh air. He is almost sitting up on his own and loves to roll across any room. He's very chatty and of course loves to be the center of attention!
We have been axiously awaiting my sister and her two girls Elle and Olivia to arrive. They are coming to visit tomarrow for a little over a week. It's been over two yrs i think since they have been to our house. Emma has been counting down the sleeps and asked every morning if it's Elle's day. She is so excited!

Time Flies!

Well another year has passed and i finally have gotten back to the blog! We had a very quiet Christmas as both of our parents were away. On boxing day the kids and i got on a plane and headed to Calgary to visit my sister. We went to Fairmont for New Years and Rob surprised us and drove the 10 hours or so to visit for a few days. I now more than ever realize that i dont mind the rain! The weather in Calgary was very very cold. It was great spending time with my sister and her two girl. Emma and Elle enjoyed their time together and talk frequently on the phone now. We stayed in Calgary till the middle of January. It was sad leaving but great to get back to see both sets of parents who had been away for quite some time.
We spent a few days up at Mt.Washington a few weeks ago with my brother Nathan, Sam and Hayden. We had a fun time, i skiied for the first time in about 6 years. I had forgotten how fun it is. We hope to get back up to the hill at least one more time this season. Emma loved the tubing, she would still be going up and down if we had let her! She is a dare devil. We will get her skiing next year i think.
Now back to our normal routine, Emma in school and dance lessons. Daniel is getting stronger and stronger. He melts our hearts everyday with his big smiles. He will be six months March 1st! Wow
The garage project is coming along very nicely, another month or so it should all be complete to lock up! Cant wait to get some floor hockey going! Who's on my team?

A Busy September!

I know it has been awhile but here i am finally making another post... This month has been very busy. Rob and Emma both had birthdays. It's hard for me to believe my little girl is already 3 years old. She is growing up so fast, every moment is so precious. She is going to a montessori pre-school 2 days a week and also attends a ballet/dance class once a week. She loves and excels at both!
Daniel is growing in leaps and bounds as well, gained 2 pounds this month. He knows how to eat! He is healthy and happy. It's amazing how quickly they learn, he smiles and has just started cooing at us. He brings such a presence to our home, i think he's going to be a character!
We have also started to build our garage, we had to do some blasting to get it all going. That was exciting to watch, not sure if the entertainment was worth the money it cost though. I will post pictures of the progress.

A New Arrival!

I suppose it's about time to give this blog thing a try!
It's been a exciting few weeks as we welcomed Daniel James Hill to our family.
Born September 1st, weighing 6 pounds 2 ounces.
Big sister Emma is adjusting well and enjoys talking, singing and trying to play with him. He gives her the odd smile and that makes it all worth while.
We are still working on a schedule with Daniel, he does co-operate every once in awhile. It's a work in progress!
We all couldn't be happier, little babies are such miracles.
Thanks to everyone for all the help and support, i feel so blessed to have the family and friends that i do!
